Francine Chabot received the greater part of her piano training with Yvonne Hubert at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal. After having obtained a “Premier Prix” in this discipline, she went to Paris to complete her instruction with Vlado Perlemuter. Since, her professional activities have multiplied. She is regularly heard in recital on stage or in radio broadcasts. She teaches piano at the Cégep Marie-Victorin in Montréal. Regularly solicited as a jury member for institutions of higher education (Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Montréal), she bas also been called upon in that respect for the Jeunesses Musicales International Competition in Belgrade, the Canadian Music
Competition, the International Mozart Competition, the Prix d’Europe, as well as the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal Competition. In 1997, Ms. Chabot recorded for ATMA Classique lieder of Schumann and Brahms with the contralto Madeleine Jalbert. Since 1997, she has been Artistic Director of “Les Lundis Classiques” series produced by Théâtre du Rideau Vert.
