Frédéric Antoun was born in Quebec and studied at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia. Operatic performances include Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Thespis (Platée) at Opéra de Paris, Tonio (La fille du régiment) at Royal Opera House, Opéra de Lausanne and Opéra de Toulon, Amaedus Daberlohn (Charlotte Salomon) at Salzburg Festival, Laërte (Hamlet) at the Theater an der Wien, Fenton (Falstaff) at Royal Opera House, Tamino (Die Zauberflöte at Opéra de Québec), Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at Opéra de Marseille, Opéra de Paris and Bayerische Staatsoper, and Cassio (Otello) at the Royal Opera House under Antonio Pappano. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 2017 as Raul (The Exterminating Angel). Recent engagements include Pylade (Iphigénie en Tauride) for Opernhaus Zurich, Alfredo (La traviata) at the Royal Opera House and Wiener Staatsoper, Des Grieux (Manon) at Opéra Comique and his first Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) for the Opéra de Montréal. Das Lied von der Erde with the Orchestre Métropolitain and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Montréal and Québec Symphony Orchestras, as well as A quiet place at the Opéra de Paris, and Nadir (Les pêcheurs de perles) at the Geneva Opera.
