Luc Beauséjour

Canadian organist and harpsichordist Luc Beauséjour leads an extremely active concert career, with BBC Music Magazine noting that “he plays with impeccable technique, tasteful embellishments, a wide range of emotion and deep sensitivity.”

He has performed as a soloist in North and South America as well as in Europe. He has been Artistic Director of Clavecin en concert since 1994. First-prize winner of the Erwin Bodky International Harpsichord Competition held in Boston, and was also a prizewinner at the Southeastern Historical Keyboard Society International Performance Competition (today the Jurow International Harpsichord Competition) in Tallahassee. The recipient of nine Opus Awards, in 2003 he was named Performer of the Year by the Conseil québécois de la musique, and two of his recordings have won Félix Awards.

Luc Beauséjour has taken part in over 45 recordings for the labels Analekta, ATMA Classique, and Naxos as either soloist or musical director. He teaches at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and until 2023 was a visiting professor at the Université de Montréal, where he completed a doctorate in performance.
