Luc Beauséjour

Harpsichordist and organist Luc Beauséjour maintains a remarkably active career, performing as a soloist throughout North and South America as well as in Europe.

Since 1994, he has served as Artistic Director of Clavecin en concert. Winner of the first prize at the Erwin Bodky International Harpsichord Competition in Boston, he also earned top honors at the Harpsichord Competition of the Southeastern Historical Keyboard Society (now the Jurow International Harpsichord Competition) in Tallahassee.

Beauséjour has been awarded nine Opus Prizes from the Conseil québécois de la musique, including “Performer of the Year” in 2003, and he has won two Félix Awards at the ADISQ Gala. He has recorded more than forty-five albums—either as soloist or music director—for labels such as Analekta, ATMA Classique, and Naxos. He teaches at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and was, until 2023, a visiting professor at the Université de Montréal, where he completed his doctorate in performance.
