Tanya LaPerrière

Graduate with a master in performance from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles under the guidance of Mira Glodeanu, Tanya LaPerrière is a promising young Baroque violinist whose powerful and sensitive playing make her a much-appreciated violinist among her audiences. Also graduate of McGill University in baroque violin as a student of Chantal Rémillard, one can hear her on stages throughout Montreal and abroad with well-known ensembles such as Arion, Ensemble Caprice, Les Boréades de Montréal, l’Harmonie des saisons as well as with her quartet Pallade Musica, grand prize winners of the 2012 Early Music America Baroque Performance Competition in New York and second prize winners of the prestigious 2014 Van Wassanaer competition in Utrecht (Holland). She also performs regularly with Les Idées Heureuses, La Nef and la Bande Montréal Baroque. She has recorded on Analekta and Atma labels and is the winner of two Juno-awards with Caprice Ensemble and Arion orchestre baroque. Madame LaPerrière regularly gives masterclasses through out the world in collaboration with Pallade Musica.
