Tobie Miller

Recorderist, hurdy gurdy player and soprano, Tobie Miller grew up in Vancouver and Montreal. After studies at McGill University (B. Mus, Honours Early Music Performance, 2004) she moved to Switzerland to pursue advanced studies in medieval music performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Tobie currently divides her time between Basel and Montreal, and has performed throughout Europe and North America with groups such as Vox Suavis, Skye Consort, La Bande Montréal Baroque, and with Jordi Savall, Wieland Kujken, Gilles Chabenat and Patrick Bouffard. In addition to a busy performance career, Tobie teaches regularly at workshops and festivals including CAMMAC (since 2003), the Over the Water Hurdy-Gurdy Festival (since 2005) and Les Journées de la flûte à bec (2006).
