To mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Franz Liszt, the renowned Canadian pianist Janina Fialkowska has recorded a personal selection of Liszt’s solo piano music including Bénédicton de Dieu dans la solitude (The Blessing of God in Solitude), an excerpt from the piano cycle Harmonies poétiques et religieuses and Liszt’s great piano transcriptions.Janina Fialkowska is a regular guest soloist with the world’s most prestigious orchestras in North America, Europe and Asia. She has worked with such conductors as Charles Dutoit, Bernard Haitink, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Metha, Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Georg Solti, Leonard Slatkin, and many others. Next season, she will give a solo recital at London’s prestigious Wigmore Hall.
