Stephan MacLeod

In 1991 Stephan MacLeod won various prizes in Swiss competitions and received several scholarships. In 1994 he won the Migros prize in Zurich and the F.V.S. prize in Hamburg. Stephan MacLeod has performed under the direction of Michel Corboz, Helmut Rilling, Philippe Herreweghe, Frieder Bernius, Reinhard Goebel, Jos van Immerseel, Dennis Russel-Davies, and Sigiswald Kuijken. He has sung with orchestras such as the Freiburger Barokorchester, l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders. In the operatic repertoire, he has sung in Mozart’s Clemenza di Tito, Monterverdi’s Orfeo, Purcell’s King Arthur, Puccini’s Bohème, and for his debut at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, in Cavalieri’s La Rappresentazione di Anima e di Corpo under the direction of Jean Tubéry.
