Eric Milnes

Native New Yorker Eric Milnes has established an international reputation as conductor, harpsichordist and organist through his many performances for the most distinguished festivals and presenters across North America, Europe, South America and Asia. As a director of ensembles such as L’Harmonie des saisons, Montreal Baroque, The Portland Baroque Orchestra, The New York Collegium, New York Baroque, Seattle Baroque Orchestra and Les Délices he has recorded over fifty CDs and led countless performances, radio broadcasts and television productions. He has been the recipient of 2 Juno Prize for Recording of the Year (Vocal/Choral) the Opus Prize for CD of the Year (Early Music) and as recording producer was awarded Gramophone Magazine’s prestigious CD of the Year in 2018, the first North American recording to do so. Milnes holds degrees from Columbia University, and The Juilliard School (New York), and his work in church music was recently awarded The Bishop’s Medal for Distinguished Service to the Episcopal Church in New York. He is most proud of the achievements of his two daughters Mary Leah (Vanderbilt University, 2015) and Hannah (Columbia University, 2016).
