Joé Lampron-Dandonneau

A native of Richmond in the Eastern Townships, tenor Joé Lampron-Dandonneau rapidly became known during his university career. After earning a first degree at the Université de Montréal, studying with baritone John Fanning, he completed a Master’s in vocal performance at the University of Victoria, studying with tenor Benjamin Butterfield. While in Victoria, Mr. Lampron-Dandonneau participated in a number of Pacific Opera Victoria productions, his first experiences performing with a professional opera company. On returning to Montréal, he completed his vocal studies at McGill University, earning a Graduate Diploma in Performance in the class of soprano Dominique Labelle, and enjoying the immense privilege of being named a finalist for the prestigious 2019-2020 Wirth Vocal Art Prize. Since finishing his studies, he has sung with a number of professional choirs, including the Chapelle de Québec; continued to develop as a chamber music vocalist; and carried on a career in cultural management.
