Mélanie Vaugeois holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the Université de Montréal and an MBA from the École des HEC de Montréal. In 2003, as a violinist, she performed the viola d’amore themes from the film Un homme et son péché with the Orchestre Métropolitain under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin as part of the Festival international de Lanaudière. She has had the opportunity to accompany Charles Aznavour, Sting, Melody Gardot, Chris de Burgh, and Harry Connick Jr as concertmaster. As a violinist for Star Académie, she had the opportunity to accompany Lionel Richie. As a founding member of her quartet Mommies on the Run, she participated in Patrick Watson’s Adventures in Your Own Backyard world tour (2013-2015). Over the years she has played on over 900 tracks, according to the performers’s rights licensing body Artisti, including several albums and soundtracks, and participated in several shows with such artists as Patrick Watson, Michel Cusson, Ariane Moffatt, Stéphanie Lapointe, Mario Pelchat, Catherine Major, Gino Vanelli, Yes, Albin de la Simone, Karkwa, Marie-Pierre Arthur, Ian Kelly, and Marc Hervieux…
