Theatre of Early Music

The Theatre of Early Music, founded in 2001 by Daniel Taylor, is a group of some of the finest musicians from all over the world, who share a particular passion for early music. The formation of this ensemble came as an answer to the instrumentalists’ and singers’ search for music-making opportunities which would bring back the sacredness into their creative process. Its debut performance was greeted with high praise from critics and the audience alike Pergolesei’s Stabat Mater, with Nancy Argenta and Daniel Taylor, in a performance of surpassing beauty… The Theatre of Early Music is comprised primarily of young musicians whose distinctive style, coupled with Daniel Taylor’s expertise, detailed study of performance practice and enthusiasm, leads to captivating readings of magnificent but often neglected works.
