Description
As ignited by jazz as by classical music, Daniel offers on this disc two duet pieces with his mentor, Oliver Jones: a two-piano improvisation on Mozart’s Variations Ah vous dirai-je maman, as well as the Grande valse fofolle by Léveillée that the two friends had first played at the Francofolies de Montréal in the summer of 2012. At 13, Quebec pianist Daniel Clarke Bouchard is already shining on the Montréal music scene and presents Scènes d’enfants his first solo album. In a tailor-made programme, he performs works by Mendelssohn, Debussy, Haydn and Chopin.
