Ensemble Mirabilia

Founded by soprano Myriam Leblanc and flutist Grégoire Jeay, Ensemble Mirabilia essentially promotes baroque music performed on period instruments, but also occasionally explores music from earlier or more recent times arranged for their configuration. Mirabilia’s horizons are thus broad enough to enable them to delve into and share a repertoire appealing to audiences of all backgrounds and ages while remaining within the larger scope of classical music. This ensemble of variable size does not exclude the participation of other singers, but maintains a limited number of musicians in order to create intimacy, where each instrument and each voice speaks directly to the listener. The ensemble has performed in many of Montréal’s Maisons de la Culture, as well as for Festival Classica, the Concerts aux Îles du Bic and various other major venues in Quebec. In 2021, Ensemble Mirabilia was nominated for an ADISQ award for its debut album Luce e Ombra, devoted to arias by Vivaldi.
