In the Tango Boréal ensemble, Denis Plante’s moving bandonéon and David Jacques’ passionate guitar and charango are fuelled by the earthy rhythms of Ian Simpson’s double bass. The ensemble provides a creative space in which the bandonéon mixes it up with impressionist music, and the tango takes on a roving range of accents. With more and more original projects and collaborations with soloists, ensembles, and orchestras, Tango Boréal has become established both nationally and internationally.
