ATMA presents the first solo recording of Canadian mezzo-soprano Julie Boulianne, who is featured in a rarely recorded chamber version of Mahler’s two famous song cycles: Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen and Kindertotenlieder. Julie Boulianne is accompanied by the Orford Ensemble under the direction of Canadian conductor Jean-François Rivest. This recording also features Ms. Boulianne singing a selection of Alma Mahler’s Lieder accompanied by pianist Marc Bourdeau.
