Born in Chile, Rodrigo del Pozo studied singing, classical guitar, and lute at the Universidad Catolica de Chile. He was awarded a scholarship to
study the lute with Jakob Lindberg and singing with Nigel Rogers, and also studied with David Mason. Currently he teaches singing and performance practice at the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC). Rodrigo del Pozo has performed with most of the leading groups specializing in the Baroque repertoire, including Concerto Palatino, L’Ensemble Baroque de Limoges, the Gabrieli Consort, the Harp Consort, The King’s Consort, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, St James’s Baroque Players, and Tafelmusik. Rodrigo del Pozo’s many recordings include credits for Auvidis-Astrée, DG, EMI, Harmonia Mundi, Hyperion, Etcetera label, Signum, and Teledec. Most recently released are Denoyé – Corrette d’après Vivaldi : Hommages with Le Parlement de Musique on Ambronay Éditions and Claudio Monteverdi L’Orfeo wih The Taverner Consort and Players.
