Trio Hochelaga

Founded in 2000 by violinist Anne Robert, Trio Hochelaga is internationally renowned for the precision of its playing, vivacity of its performances and originality of its artistic programming. The ensemble remains loyal to hallowed chamber music traditions while valuing a vast and varied repertoire spanning the Classical period to new music. It also boasts an affinity for great Romantic works as well as lesser-known treasures of that era.

Trio Hochelaga has performed on numerous tours in Canada, Great Britain, the United States, Europe, Bermuda, Japan, China, and Taiwan. Recordings include the complete chamber music with piano by Théodore Dubois, as well as the trios of Gabriel Pierné and Gabriel Fauré, for which the ensemble received a Choc prize, the highest accolade of the French magazine Le Monde de la musique. Trio Hochelaga is the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. It gratefully acknowledges sustained support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
