A winner of several international awards, baritone Dominique Côté is renowned for his supple voice and moving interpretations. Armed with a vast and varied repertoire, Côté has performed across Europe, the United States, and Canada under the direction of illustrious conductors such as Kent Nagano, Christophe Rousset, Theodor Guschlbauer, Jacques Lacombe, and Samuel Jean. As a trained actor, he has also played various theatre and television roles and in a number of operatic works with spoken dialogues. His performances include Les feluettes ou La répétition d’un drame romantique (Edmonton Opera), La chauve-souris (Geneva and Montréal) as well as appearances in several productions of the opera Nelligan and numerous concerts with the OSM, ranging from Berlioz to the Cowboys Fringants! His discography boasts several world premieres: La société anonyme des messieurs prudents (Louis Beydts), with Orchestre national Avignon-Provence; Nicandro e Fileno (Paolo Lorenzani), with Les Boreades de Montreal, Nelligan, with the OSM; L’affaire Tailleferre (Germaine Tailleferre), with the Opera de Limoges; and Léonore ou L’amour conjugal (Pierre Gaveaux), with Opera Lafayette. His first solo CD, Amour et Fantaisie : Mélodies de Lionel Daunais, released in 2022 on ATMA Classique was enthusiastically received by the public and the critics.
