Eric Milnes

Born in New York, Eric Milnes has built a strong international reputation as a conductor, harpsichordist, and organist, performing at major festivals and concert series across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia.

As music director of L’Harmonie des saisons, Montréal Baroque, the Portland and Seattle Baroque Orchestras, the New York Collegium, New York Baroque, and Les Délices, he has recorded nearly fifty albums and led a vast number of concerts and broadcast performances.

In 2016, he received two Juno Awards for Best Canadian Classical Vocal Recording, two Opus Awards for Early Music Recording of the Year, and in 2018, Gramophone Magazine’s prestigious Recording of the Year Award for his work as producer. Mr. Milnes is a graduate of Columbia University and the Juilliard School of Music, and has been awarded the Archbishop of New York’s Medal for his service as music director and organist for the Episcopal Church.

He is especially proud of the accomplishments of his daughters, Mary Leah (Vanderbilt University, 2015) and Hannah (Columbia University, 2016).
